The last two days |

waterfall. The green colour of moss, the grey colour of the stones and the sound of the water in the background, all of this is really fascinating. And if you want you can bath in the public onsen just next to the falls! To get to the falls you have to hike about 1,5 km from the parking - but it is worth doing!

Our last night in Hokkaido we stayed at a place by Shikaribetsu Lake where there was nothing but two hotels. On the way you would encounter quite a few foxes, as shown in the picture. They are used to human-beings and actually come very close to you in order to get food when you stop your car. Not really wild and not what it should be like...

The Ginga waterfalls in the Sounkyo area, an area of steep rocks and valleys, are also worth stopping at. Actually, there are two, a male
|

and a female one as a legend says. The water falls from about 40-50 m high, down to the river in the valley.
