End of the season 2006/2007 - table tennis league |

In March 2006 Chiko decided to take up her old passion and joined the table tennis division of the local sports club. Although she had not really touched her table tennis bat almost for two decades(!), she now feels pretty comfortable with being at the table again and thoroughly enjoys this complicated sport. She has become a member of the women’s team and started to play in the local league “Kreisliga” in the 2006/2007 season, which started in September 2006. Chiko’s team mates are all quite young in their mid-20’s and very nice, for which she feels extremely lucky and thankful.

It took some time until she got used to play matches and actually to be able to win the crucial games for her team. Her winning percentage was only 50% during the first half of the season, when the team had a bad start due to some unlucky narrow defeats. However, during the second half of the season she improved her wining percentage up to 75% and the team also reached the 3rd place in the league.

Now summer is approaching and we are very motivated to do our training for the 2007/2008 season, aiming at becoming the best in our current league and getting promoted to the next higher league...
